Last semester hundreds of students and workers at UTSA joined in multi-racial solidarity to shut down an attempted speech by Chris Simcox, founder of the vigilante Minuteman Project. This semester, the Young Conservatives of Texas are bringing Simcox back, but this time he is speaking behind closed doors with increased security.

The Minuteman Project continues a tradition of vigilante border patrolling begun 30 years ago by the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Just as the KKK terrorized Mexican immigrants and other “non-whites,” the vigilante MinuteKlan conduct armed patrols of the U.S./Mexico border, terrorizing undocumented workers.

The Hypocrisy of “Free Speech”

Although the MinuteKlan denies any affiliation with White Supremacist organizations, attendance of National Alliance members (the largest neo-Nazi group in America) at MinuteKlan functions is well documented (splcenter.org). The National Alliance is responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing, the largest terrorist attack in America prior to 9/11. Why does the YCT protest terrorists such as the President of Iran giving a speech at American universities, while at the same time sponsoring terrorists like Chris Simcox?

Would the University allow a group with ties to Al-Qaeda to speak on campus, even if the ties were loose and unofficial? Would you respect the “freedom of speech” of a gangster trying to recruit your children? The history of Nazi Germany teaches us that fascism must be faced down militantly wherever it crops up.

THERE IS NO "DEBATE" OR "DIALOGUE" TO BE HAD WITH RACISM!

**A Call for Action**

Last semester’s protest against the racist trash of YCT and MinuteKlan supporters was a powerful expression of multi-racial unity. It inspired many positive and enlightening discussions. In order to smash racism, it is vital that students and workers on both sides of the border unite.

STAND WITH US AGAINST THE GUTTER RACISTS OF THE MINUTEKLAN AND THE YOUNG CONSERVATIVES OF TEXAS!

ALSO , we will meet near the immigration statue at 12pm to discuss a plan for this protest.
