HOUSTON: Vigil for TSU Hunger Strike

(Houston) On Friday, Oct 12, from 6 PM-8PM, at TSU Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Houston

Organizations will hold a vigil in honor of the TSU LULAC Students Five Day Hunger Strike for Immigrant Rights. In respecting their decision to of sacrifice to raise awarness of the humanity, dignity and rights of immigrants and refugees, community members will come with gifts of food, prayers and songs on the day and moment the students have decided to lift their hunger strike. The community offerings are a symbol of the unity that binds us as One to continue the long road of justice on behalf of immigrants. All peace and justice organizations in the Houston area are humbly appreciative of the dedication and commitment we witnessed in the students' pursuit of this brave statement for human dignity and rights.
