Seeking Donations For Community In Carboneras

A number of us have “adopted” a very-very poor neighborhood in the community of Carboneras, Tamps, MX, which is a fishing community along the Gulf of Mexico. Carboneras is located directly east of San Fernando. San Fernando is located approx half-way between Reynosa/Matamoros and Ciudad Victoria.

Carboneras was hit by a hurricane several years back.

We are planning a Christmas party for the neighborhood children. Reportedly, there is approx ninety (90) children (age 15 and below) in this neighborhood. We have begun to collect good usable and new clothing, socks, used and new sweaters, used and new blankets, used computers, used computer games, good usable home appliances, good usable and new toys, coloring books, candies, school supplies, used cassettes re audio music (Spanish or English), used VHS or DVD re movies (Spanish or English). And, of course cash is acceptable to buy piñatas, drinks, cakes, Christmas wrapping paper, etc-etc. Obviously, we will collect gifts of your choice that you want to donate.

And, of course children have parents. Donations will be used to provide a present (used or new) to parents.

We plan to Christmas wrap, as possible, donations.

Thank you.
