When: Potluck dinner (vegetarian) begins at 7:00 PM; Movie after the potluck, followed by
a discussion

The Dinner: Bring avegetarian or vegan dish to share. Serving materials (plates and
silverware, etc.) will be provided.

SCREENING OF "BASTARDS OF THE PARTY"

Directed by a former Blood, this award-winning documentary chronicles the rise of gangs in LA from out of the ashes of the Black Panther Party and similar grassroots power-building movements. Bastards of the Party gives powerful insight into gang culture while exploring how failed "gang war" law enforcement policies fed the violence.
